Consumer behavior in marketing
Consumer behavior in marketing is an important concept and sometimes it is very difficult to understand consumer behavior. Consumers spend their valuable resources time, money etc. to buy the goods. So it is necessary for the marketing manager to understand consumer behavior first before planning the marketing strategy. All he has to do is to understand the likes, dislikes, tastes of the consumer. As each consumer differs in his cultural background, income, life style, personality, beliefs and attitudes. But one thing which is common in all of them is that they all are “consumer”. So it is the duty of the marketing manager to get the knowledge about the consumer. It includes:
What do they buy?
When do they buy?
How do they buy?
Why do they buy?
From where do they buy?
I hope you understood the meaning of consumer behavior in marketing.
